Upgrading to Movable Type 3.15
I've held on as long as I can before upgrading, mostly due to time constraints. But as of tonight I'm on 3.15. My hosting company (the venerable MediaTemple) sent me a mail last week stating that my current version (2.661) was a security risk and that if I didn't upgrade by Tuesday of this week, they would do it for me.
So far the interface is greatly improved, but I can't figure out the new MT-Blacklist app just yet, but I just installed it 5 minutes ago.
Anyway, I've got some good book reviews to share pretty soon.
Update
It appears that the new MT's default setup is to hold comments for moderation (by me!). Since my comment spamming has been getting out of control, I'm actually pleased by this solution. So far I've been able to hold off nearly 80 comment spams and I just installed it last night. Add in the new and improved Blacklist plugin that integrates with MT's interface, and I'm not nearly as concerned about comment spam as I once was. The only hole would be if you're really getting killed by spam, like 1,000 a day or so.
